GENERATOR 2.0
Generator is back!!!!
First launched in 1992, Generator became one of
Detroit's most revered techno labels for straight - ahead
dancefloor techno. Guided
by Alan D. Oldham, Generator boasted inspired releases from himself and
Woody McBride, remixes from UK superstar Dave Clarke and seminal first
releases by Sean Deason, Marco Passarani, and others.
In 1996, Oldham made the decision to shelve the Generator label in
order to devote his full attention to his then newly-formed Pure Sonik
label.

GEN029 • The Neon Sex Fiend • Elektrofive (12")
First new release since 1997 on the revamped label is "Elektrofive." Produced
by Alan D. Oldham himself, this raw robotic slice of Berlin-inspired
elektropunk energy (with vocals and lyrics by Oldham) is a radical
sonic departure from his minimal dancefloor techno he's known for.
Includes remixes by DJ K1 (Keith Tucker of Aux 88), Ultradyne, and Mauser.
